Polo?

Filed under: Boating, Life & Times — chris @ 8:43 am

The traditional paddling season in the UK does seem to have been a bit low, but there’s always something to do and long weekend in Scotland for example.
I’ve not really managed to get out as much as I’d have liked maybe it’s because in my last year of university I’ve finally taken the work seriously or that my coaching courses are running thick and fast!
To get a few extra hours in a boat per week, improve my fitness, hang out with my friends and challenge myself in a new way, 2 weeks ago I took up Canoe Polo. Turns out I don’t need a bunch of reasons to take up Polo, it’s actually fun! I seem to have enough paddling skills to get by; however I have terrible butter fingers and throw like a weak girl!

In other news, the Evening of Extravagant Tales from Across the Globe took place last week and was a big success, thanks to everyone for attending hope you enjoyed yourself!

I had something useful to say for once!
