You can paddle class III with your mates, now you’ve started paddling harder rivers is your leadership and safety up to scratch? This day course will cover the basic principles of white water safety, rescue & leadership so that you and your group can be safe on the river.

Course Outline

The course will introduce the skills to will require as a white water leader and then give you practical scenarios for you to learn by doing. This will break down into 3 key areas; Personal skills to give you the confidence to lead, River leadership to safety navigate the river and Safety & Rescue skills to fix problems experienced on and off the river.

Pre-Requisites

You should be happy paddling class II III rivers to get the most out of this day!
