White water safety rescue is a set of skills all white water kayakers need to have, but often one we hope not to use! This primary aim of this course is to ensure your safety in a white water environment.

Course Aims

The course will start by looking at important equipment, looking at the white water environment, rescue skills and effective safety placement. As will all the course, your personal aims for the course will be taken into account so you can get the most out of the course.  We will look at elements of self rescue, bank and boat based rescues and methods of avoiding rescue situations in the first place!

Pre-Requisites

Experience on class II III moving water, and a willingness to get wet!
